FAQ

  • How do I join a group?

Please go to the “Join” page and submit your information. Letting us know your age and length of relationship helps us to determine the right fit group for you. From there, you will be contacted to schedule a 5-10 minute call to learn more about you and your breakup and give you more information on the group.

  • How long is the group?

The group is 8 weeks long. Each session is an hour over Zoom.

  • How many members are in a group?

    6-8 members.

  • Do I have to be based in NYC to join?

No! We have had members all across the United States and in the UK and Canada.

  • What if I have never been in a group before?

Most members have never been in a support group before! You won’t be alone in this being a new experience.

  • How much?

Each session is $30. We ask for the first four sessions ($120) by the first session in order to save your spot. We ask for the second half of the four sessions ($120) by the second session. This helps with retention. If you come to the first group and it doesn’t feel like a good fit, you will receive a refund for the remaining sessions.

  • Is the group for those that initiated the breakup too?

Yes! Our groups have been a mix. Sometimes there is an even split of those that initiated the breakup and those that were broken up with, sometimes there are more members who initiated the breakup, and sometimes there are more members who were broken up with.

  • What should I expect to get out of the group?

In this group, you can expect to:

Gain Support: Connect with others who understand the unique challenges of a breakup, fostering a sense of community and mutual encouragement.

Learn Healthy Coping Strategies: Explore tools to manage intense emotions like sadness, anger, or loneliness, and to build emotional resilience.

Increase Self-Awareness: Reflect on your relationship patterns, identify areas for personal growth, and gain clarity about your needs moving forward.

Rebuild Confidence: Strengthen your sense of self-worth and feel empowered to embrace life after the breakup with hope and self-assurance.

This group offers a safe and supportive space to heal, grow, and prepare for your next chapter.
