Lexi Joondeph-Breidbart, LCSW
Founder, Group Facilitator
The group was founded by Lexi Joondeph-Breidbart, a licensed clinical social worker in the state of New York and a graduate of New York University Silver School of Social Work. Her past experiences include the 14th Street Y where she ran a retirement support group, the Sirovich Center where she did clinical work with adults with hoarding disorder, and NYU Langone Medical Center where she worked on the Adult In-Patient Medicine unit. Starting in 2019, Lexi became a Victim Services Volunteer at Mount Sinai Beth Israel where she received 40 hours of training to work with victims/ survivors of sexual assault. From 2016 to 2018, Lexi volunteered with Henry Street Settlement where she worked with students on the spectrum and students with behavioral challenges. Lexi founded the Lonely Hearts Club, a breakup support group, to help people navigate this specific loss.
Megan Rubano
Group Facilitator
Megan is a facilitator at the Lonely Hearts Club, where she channels her passion for peer support to connect with individuals and meet them where they are. She is currently in her second year at the University of Central Florida, pursuing a degree in Clinical Social Work. As an intern at an older adult center, Megan facilitates support groups for individuals aged 60 and older. She also enjoys working with high school students, fostering growth and resilience during a pivotal stage of life. Drawing from her own experiences, Megan is committed to making a meaningful impact through the power of peer support. She values authenticity, transparency, and resilience in all aspects of her work.
Jordan Bell
Administrative Assistant
Jordan is the administrative assistant for Lonely Hearts Club (LHC). Having participated in a group himself, he saw firsthand how helpful the experience was and sought to continue being involved in LHC's meaningful work. Jordan has previously worked as a teacher, office assistant, and film/theatre artist. He is currently preparing for graduate studies in Mental Health Counseling, with the goal of working with children, teens, and young adults who have experienced abuse and trauma. Jordan values being a kind and attentive aid to anyone who needs help.
